JOE WOLF

Owner & Dog Expert

Dogs have been my life as long as I can remember. I cannot recall a time I wasn't surrounded by furry friends and family, to the point of feeling raised by them! I've worked in many areas of the pet industry and found dog boarding and daycare to be my passion. I've worked and managed several dog boarding facilities over the last decade and while I am grateful for all of those experiences, I was never fully satisfied with the level of personalized care provided. There were so many "challenging" dogs I saw turned away when I knew given the time many of those dogs could thrive just as well as any other pup. Time bigger places did not want to or could not give. I dreamed of a place where we'd give any dog a chance to have a fun, safe place to play and I knew that's what I wanted Camp Zoo to be when I became its owner. My staff and I now strive everyday to make that dream a reality, and have Camp Zoo be a special place to as many dogs as we can.

EMILY DANCA

Assistant Manager & Pack Leader

Emily joined the Zoo crew in 2023. She has been caring for animals in a pet sitting environment since high school but her main background is in pet nutrition having worked as a product expert and employee trainer at various pet retailers. While she still enjoys discussing nutrition, she pivoted to dog boarding and day care due a desire to have a more direct effect on the lives of our furry friends rather than advising from afar. Now she helps run the day to day activities here at Camp Zoo, happy to be helping the pups anyway she can.

PEACH AND LUCY

Camp Counselors

Joe's own lovely daughters and a big part of the Camp Zoo pack. Lucy is a sweet pitbull/greyhound mix who loves everything about the outdoors and knows no strangers. Peach is a flat-coat retriever that can often be found sunbathing in the yard. Both have many years of boarding and daycare experience and are the first dogs any new pup meets during a meet and greet. They are trained for greeting and love meeting new friends. This is why they are lovingly called our "camp counselors". Peach and Lucy are part of every play group to be a familiar, friendly face to each pup (and to keep things in check).
